Nishinomon Yakata is primarily used as a center for cultural and historical information. Visitors can enter for free to learn about the history of the area and Karatsu’s famous autumn festival, Karatsu Kunchi. Visitors may also be able to see the workers restoring one of the hikiyama, a Kunchi festival float, onsite as well.
