On the path towards a mountain shrine in Kyuragi stands a small bridge built in 1923. It is called Megane Bashi, or Spectacles Bridge, because the unique arch in the construction reflects on the water surface of the river below, and creates an image of a large monocle. This bridge is considered to be expertly crafted, as it has experienced many floods over the century, but has never once collapsed.
